How to bookmark movies from social media in one place

Ask yourself where your watchlist actually lives. Some of it is in Instagram saves. Some is in TikTok favorites. Some is screenshots. Some is in a notes-app list called "MOVIES" that you have not opened since spring. Every platform gave you a bookmark button, and every bookmark button built you a separate graveyard.

The fix is not a fifth list. It is one place that every platform can feed.

What a movie bookmark actually needs

A platform bookmark stores a post. A useful movie bookmark stores the film: its title, so you can search it; its poster, so you can recognize it at a glance on movie night; its runtime and cast, so you can pick by mood; where you found it, so you can go back to the clip; and your one line about why it is there, which is the part every platform loses.

The iOS share sheet is the one door all the platforms already share. Anything that can share a link or a screenshot, which is everything, can feed a single shelf.

One shelf, fed from everywhere

  1. Share from wherever you are

Instagram reel, TikTok, a YouTube video, a screenshot from the group chat: hit share and pick UnMiss. Same gesture from every app.

  2. Confirm the film

UnMiss identifies the actual movie behind whatever you shared and asks for one tap of confirmation, or Check later to queue it.

  3. Browse one shelf, not four apps

Everything lands together: films with posters, series with seasons, books with covers, each tagged with the platform it came from and linked back to the original post.

Questions

Which platforms does this work with?

Any app that can share a link or produce a screenshot, which in practice means all of them. Instagram and TikTok are the everyday cases; screenshots cover the rest, from streaming menus to group-chat texts.

Do my old bookmarks come along?

Platforms do not let outside apps read your saved folders, so there is no magic import. The backlog is very clearable by hand though; there is a guide for turning saved reels into a watchlist one evening at a time.

Does this require yet another account?

No. UnMiss has no account, no feed and no followers; your shelf lives on your iPhone, with an optional backup to your own iCloud.
